Is being an optimistic person important?

As humans, we have a natural impulse to avoid danger. Due to being on some unconscious level, people start searching for negative thoughts. These thoughts act as reassurance to deal with all the emotions. So, when people ignore the difficulty, they become confused about their challenges and thoughtless about others' problems. But have you ever considered taking it in a positive way? Why not hope for the best and be occasionally disappointed rather than live an unhappy life? Don't you think it will be better? So, in today's blog, we will discuss how an optimistic mindset can change our lives and how it feels to be surrounded by optimistic people.

What's it like to have an optimistic attitude toward life?

Feeling stressed and anxious due to rash decisions made by a person is common. Every person has done it once in a while or even on a regular basis. People hate it when they find no solutions, and that’s how negativity hits us. A positive attitude, on the other hand, will make you calm. You just have to breathe and tell yourself "it’s okay. Your personality isn’t fixed; it will change and you will strive to improve it every day. Despite feeling different moods throughout the day, you will learn to unsubscribe from them and move on to make it better. When people have uncleared thoughts, they will overthink.

Negative emotions are powerful; that’s why you can’t escape them. But if they are addressed to someone you trust, you will have less of a burden to worry about. An optimistic attitude allows people to take responsibility for their actions. to try not to make the same mistakes again.

"An optimistic attitude deals with changing perspectives, not facts."

Can a realistic person become optimistic?

There are different types of people with different mindsets. They can vary from situation to situation. In this way, few groups of people believe in being real and facing the problem as a challenge. They are known as "realistic groups. Negative people are everywhere who are afraid to face reality. A practical thinker will think of all the possible outcomes and try to find the ideal solutions or choices to deal with them. They can be termed fearless intellectuals, but they also get frustrated. It is not because they didn't find the solution, it is their decision that turned out to provide the expected solution.

However, a realistic person can become optimistic. Both qualities (realistic and optimistic) together form a better perspective on life. Our attitude is our choice, but if there is a need to make changes, one should not feel hesitation. Rational people find it intimidating until they try all the possibilities. But what they don’t understand is that not everything in our life is meant to make sense. Therefore, people should choose to move on with it. And a positive mindset works exactly like this. So, yes, realistic ones can be optimistic to shape them in a better way.

How does it feel to be surrounded by optimistic people?

"Stay close to anything that makes you glad you are alive."

An optimistic person brings hope of possibilities. This may depend on the person who is surrounded. Being around an optimistic person will make you more confident. It is like getting inspiration. You tend to accept your flaws and the changes happening in your life. They can encourage people around them. You can get constant support from them for your ideas and guidance to improve them. Even the positive energy you absorb from them can let you be free from the toxic environment. It can change, enhance and develop a way of perceiving things in life. You will be able to conduct yourself and help to think outside the box.

But it is also good to remember that optimism should not be misunderstood as fancy dreams. Sometimes it can make you feel covered in a shell of unrealistic ideas or assumptions. So, it becomes important to know the difference between irrational optimism and realistic optimism.

How can we have an optimistic mindset?

Nobody is born with a positive mindset. These are not like some values or ethics which need to be followed no matter what or any other book of rules to revise. Optimistic mindsets are developed with acceptance and experience. Here are some simple steps to practice optimism:

● Acknowledge the good things in your life, even the smallest ones.

● Learn from your mistakes but don’t overthink them constantly because they are part of our learning progress.

● Keep an open mind about what the future might hold for you.

● Think about the thoughts that make you happy and worthwhile.

● Try everything, and positively challenge yourself to feel confident in accepting things.

● Avoid toxic people who make you limit yourself and your capabilities.

Conclusion

To sum up, you don’t find a happy life, you create it. So, trying to put your heart, mind, and soul into the smallest acts is important. This is how you build the secret of your success.
