The Secret of Brahma Muhurta

We all might have heard about this old saying from grandparents that we should wake up early in the morning in the period of Brahma Muhurta to pray, meditate or practice yoga. Does it ever occur to you why this period is considered to be so special? Today in this blog we are going discuss what is so special about this brahma muhurta? And how does it make itself so different from any other period of time?

What is Brahma Muhurta?

The term “Brahma Muhurta” means simply means the time of universe which begins one hour 36 min before the sun rises. We consider this period as the Creator’s time. It is traditionally known to be the last phase or muhurta of the night. This is also known to be considered as an auspicious time for all practices of yoga, meditation or any other religious practice. Activities performed under this period have greater effect than any other part of the day.

Brahama Muhurta lasts up to 48 minutes, timings starts 1 hour 36 min before sunrise and end after 48 minutes before sunrise. Brahma is name of the lord who created the universe and muhurta is translation of the period of time. In Sikhism, this time period is called “Amrit vela”. Therefore, any religious or spiritual activity performed during this period is much more effective. Brahma Muhurta is also known as the 14 muhurta kaal of the night, each muhurta last for 48 minutes and a whole night consist of 15 muhurtam.


Why is considered so special?

According to the geographic location and time of the year, the time of sunrise varies each day and the same way this muhurta also varies. For example when the sun at 6 pm, the brahma muthurta starts at 4.24 am, when it raises at 7am, this muhurta starts at 5:24, and so on. Meditation or chanting between 2 am to 5am is engages higher states of awareness and manifesting. This time is traditionally known as brahmanuhurta of “Time of Brahma”.

Apparently, it’s is very difficult to manifest when our mindset is still in place. What we required is a major shift in consciousness that creates positive thoughts of faith, trust and vision. With Brahma Muhurta you will experience an acceleration of time. And your manifestation will appear in your life in tridimensional form. You will find yourself at the right place at the right time.

During the time of brahma muhurta, someone will surprisingly offer you help and from such unexpected situations, you will be able to pull yourself out. In the timeless state of your mind and seems to stop, you’re much closer to manifesting your desires. You will forget about the 5 W’s questions. You will be doubt-free.


Why we should wake up in Brahma Muhurat?

Humans are the diurnal creatures; this means our body works in accordance with the sun and other elements of nature. Therefore, we should wake up in Brahma Muhurta so that by the time we are done with the morning rituals and ready to welcome the sun. We should consider sun as a guest who should be welcomed everyday with love. It is said that those who sleep post sunrise are cursed by sun deity. But those who are awake are blessed with happiness. This is another reason why waking up in Brahma Muhurta will bring happiness in life.

Brahma muhurat helps a person to identify himself, and to release his inner strengths. This will result you to start your day with positivity.


6 things we should do in Brahma Muhurat

1. Meditation

One of the best Brahma Muhurta meditations is Sahaj Samadhi meditation. It is considered as a unique method of meditation, you can instantly rise above the stress and troubles. You will feel infinite peace in the mind as it invigorates the body. Sahaj is Sanskrit word, which means naturally done without any effort. Samadhi is a deep, blissful and meditative state. Hence, this meditation is that simple process through which we can easily meditate.

2. Use the powder of visualization

This is the time when the subconscious mind is most active. Right after meditation, just start thinking about all the things you want to achieve for 5 minutes. Your dreams, which you see all the time and you want to get everything. Good job, good business,

good life partner, good relationships, family, happiness, peace, money and good health you have always hoped for. All these things are achieved; this is the best time to imagine.

3. Read or hear the knowledge

Brahma Muhurta is the most suitable time to perceive spiritual knowledge and wisdom. Explore ancient scriptures or go through simple tenets of wisdom. Studying scriptures during Brahma Muhurta also helps ease mental problems.

4. Plan your day

The awareness level and refreshment that brahma Muhurta gives you make it the perfect time to plan important things in your life. Be it work, finances, or day ahead.

5. Introspect

Recollect how many times you gave into negative emotions like jealousy, anger and greed. Don’t let any of these memories drown you into guilt. Just become aware of those moments. Doing this everyday will eventually reduce your tendency towards negative emotional patterns.

6. Remember your parents, Guru, and God

When often do not get the time to remember the most important people in our lives. Therefore, by remembering our parents, guru and that energy are called to bow down. During this period, you can chant mantras to remember them as it will be the best time for this stuff.

If you wake up in Brahma Muhurta, you will feel the changes in your attitude. The result of anything is not available immediately, it is a gradual process. Things won’t get you easily. You will begin to see the bright side of every situation.

In this age of kaliyug, brahma muhurta is the only time of the day where you can feel what it feels like to live in “Satyug”. If you are an artist or your work demands creativity, you should definitely make the most out of this time period. You will feel creativity flowing in your system. So, don’t keep unrealistic, imaginary expectations. Enter this time with a clear mind and you will get the way more than you could have imagined.
